Let's chat about Boudoir posing!

You are fully responsible for making sure your poses for your boudoir session are perfect, so you better start practicing!

-KIDDING-

“Will you help me know how to pose?” is probably the #1 question we get from clients. I’m here to tell you that we will absolutely help you pose and guide you the entire way throughout your session.

For me, posing ideas come very naturally and I don’t necessarily need to write down a plan of attack for posing. That being said, I do love to know a general direction or “vibe” that you’d like to go with. Kinky posing isn’t for everyone, and neither is more sweet and innocent posing.

Boudoir photography is meant to be intimate, personal, and often sensual in nature. Here are a few classic boudoir posing vibes that you might consider (and we can even do ALL of them at your shoot if you’d like!):

  1. The classic pin-up pose: This pose involves lying on your back on a bed, with one leg bent and resting on a stack of pillows or a chair.

  2. The "come hither" pose: In this pose, you might sit on the edge of a bed or chair, with one leg crossed over the other and your body turned towards the camera.

  3. The "bedroom eyes" pose: This pose involves lying on your stomach on a bed, with your head turned towards the camera and your arms resting above your head.

  4. The "sultry" pose: This pose involves sitting on a bed or chair with one leg crossed over the other, and your body turned towards the camera. You might also try placing one hand on your hip or behind your head for added glamour.

  5. The "sexy silhouette" pose: This pose involves standing with your back to the camera, with your arms raised above your head and your body turned slightly to the side.

Remember, boudoir photography is all about capturing your OWN personality and style. Don't be afraid to try out different poses and see what works best for you. I’ll always show you images on the back of the camera, so if you’re not feeling something we can pivot in order to make sure you’re 100% in love with your boudoir images.

Weekend availability is BACK (but extremely limited!) | Atlanta Boudoir Photography

That’s right, we’ve added a few more weekend dates for boudoir sessions to our calendar!!

We get it, schedules can be hard! They are unpredictable and not everyone gets the option of working from home during the week. Weekends are where you can finally do what YOU want to do (which could be binging Netflix or staring at a blank wall while you eat Cheetos… no judgment). If you’ve been really wanting to book a boudoir session, but your weekly schedule just wouldn’t allow it then the weekend is perfect for you!!

There are a limited number of weekend dates left for the year. These are perfect for our bridal boudoir and Base session options. We’ll spend a couple of hours together and then you can join your friends for brunch. If you’re a bride then the weekend sessions are a GREAT option to use your hair/makeup trial for your wedding as your hair/makeup for your boudoir session! Plus, it’s obviously a great gift.
