Check out our favorite New Orleans boudoir photos!

We’ve successfully completed the first stop on our 2022 U.S. Boudoir Tour!! New Orleans was a dream backdrop for boudoir sessions, and I’m so excited to share our favorite (shareable) photos!

In addition to booking sessions in our metro Atlanta boudoir studio we are still booking sessions for our 2022 U.S. Tour! New Orleans was the first stop on our boudoir tour and we had a great time. Our hotel suite was the perfect boudoir backdrop for these sessions. As soon as I saw the spiral staircase online I knew that I HAD to have a client’s naked body on it… so that’s what we did!

Finding alternative locations and backdrops for boudoir sessions is half of the (challenging) fun for this tour. With my boudoir studio in Marietta I have it set up perfectly for my needs. Stepping into a whole new space with changing light and different furniture can 100% be a challenge to any photographer. Add the pressure of creating beautiful boudoir images along with the knowledge that you only have ONE chance to get it right and that can be a tad bit stress inducing. Luckily clients trust me and trust the creative process when I have to change the lights or give a heavy hip shove to a hotel couch.

If you’ve been waiting to work with us for your boudoir session but haven’t gotten to make it to Atlanta then this U.S. Tour is for you!! Our next stops for our boudoir tour are Las Vegas, NV and Denver, CO!! Check out our full list of cities here!

This is what happens when you let me experiment | Atlanta boudoir photographer

Occasionally I'll dream up an idea that needs one or two client guinea pigs in order to see if I'm crazy or creative. I don't think those two terms are necessarily mutually exclusive, but I think that YOU, my clients, would be a bit more hesitant to hire me if I described my work as 'crazy' :)

This current move into my creatively crazy experiment had to do with a photo series I saw that involved body paint. Once I saw that series I KNEW I needed to try using body paint during a session.

Of course I knew nothing about body paint and I'm pretty sure my studio's security deposit would go up in flames if I managed to get paint all over the beautiful hardwoods. Regardless, I'm a risk taker... plus I found out that body paint comes off with soap and water, which makes it easier to work with than mascara and eyeliner.

I'll spare you the rest of the details and just show off one of the first peeks into this session:

I LOVED incorporating body paint into this boudoir session. I loved it so much that I convinced my next client to partake in the body-paint experiment, too!

Creative... crazy... whatever. This was so much fun!

Love,

Sarah
