Strap up for the weekend | Atlanta boudoir photography

There are some weeks that come together in the oddest and most unique ways..

For this week, every client brought in something related to straps. Now, this could have been a strappy bra (as seen below), a set of straps to *ahem* use in the bedroom, a pair of ridiculously gorgeous and strappy heels that would have dominated on the red carpet (and also made my feet fall asleep)... or simple a motorcycle helmet that my client had to STRAP on. Obviously I was reaching for that last one.

Regardless, I love it when a week's full of boudoir sessions comes together under one common theme.

So, in the spirit of the straps: buckle-up, strap-up, whatever... and enjoy your weekend!!!

Client Interview | Atlanta Boudoir photographer

One of my favorite lines from this client interview is that she said "All of my fears were put to rest".

We work really hard to make sure that you don't leave nearly as terrified as you probably were when you walked into the studio. From showing you images THAT DAY to making sure you were heard in the weeks leading up to the shoot, we are serious over-communicators and over-complimenters.

Don't believe me? Send us an email. Count the exclamation points. Print out the paragraphs. I think we write every client a novella. All of this is for you, so that you have the same (or better!) experience than you'll read about below.

Read on... :)

1) How old are you... or if you prefer, who were you listening to at age 14 :)?

I was 40 at the time of the photo shoot

2) What do you do for a living?

I am a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist)

3) What/who made you decide to book a boudoir session?

At 40 years old, I finally feel confident and sexy in my own skin and I wanted to document this year for myself.  Surprising my husband with the book of sexy photos was another fun reason too!!

4) Did you have any obstacles or fears about boudoir?

I was a little nervous about how comfortable I would feel being semi and/or fully nude in front of someone I had just met.  All my fears were put to rest, though, once I met Sarah.  She was like a good friend I had known forever!  I was also concerned that I wouldn’t be able to “have that sexy look” without laughing or looking goofy, but Sarah knows exactly how to coach you through the process and ends up with the most AMAZING photos!!

5) Why did you choose OWN?

I chose OWN because of the obvious quality of the work I saw online.  I loved the classy studio, the way that each of the clients looked in their photos, and the obvious comfort that each person had.  I couldn’t wait to see what kind of magic she produced during my session!

6) How was the actual session different from what you expected (if at all)?

I was WAY more comfortable than I thought I would be!!  I think the champagne helped a little too….that was such a treat.  Also, the session itself was tiring.  I have a new respect for lingerie models now.  Getting into some of the poses, and holding them while Sarah shoots the photos is an actual workout!  Now I know why she advises people to eat before they come.  It is hard work and you will need your energy…..but SOOOO fun at the same time!!

7) What was your favorite part of the entire experience? (priming, the shoot, seeing images, giving the images..etc)

Doing the shoot was super fun (I felt sexy the rest of the week after it was over), but seeing the images when they were finished was definitely the BEST part.  My husband’s face was a close 2nd when I presented him with the photos!!

8) How has the response been to your images?

Every single person I’ve shown the images to has asked for the name of the person who did them.  They have all said that these photos could be used in a magazine!

9) What is your advice for women interested in such a session?

Just DO IT!!!!  Don’t wait until you lose 10 more pounds, or have a little tan, or wait until your hair grows out a little.  Do it right now!!  Sarah is a magician and will make you look amazing, despite any little imperfections that every single woman worries about.

10) Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty as a result of this session?

Seeing myself in some of these photos made see myself in a different light.  Seeing the different angles and shape of my body from a different perspective was eye opening and has made me have more confidence in myself.  I honestly never knew I could look like that!!
