I've got a crush on this lingerie set!

We see a LOT of different lingerie brands come through our studio. One of my favorite things to help clients with is selecting wardrobe for their boudoir session. This means I get to browse the hundreds of brands out there that are all different and special in their own way. One of the brands that I’ve had a crush on for a bit is Aubade!

Aubade is a french lingerie brand that has a wide range of styles and cup sizes… which is fabulous for boudoir clients and women in general! Their lingerie sets are SO beautiful, and I love their embroidery and color.

Recently I’ve fallen in love with this illusion bra set, which also has a bodysuit version. A client brought it in the other day for her boudoir session (see photos below) and it photographed SO perfectly. It’ll make you feel incredible, boudoir shoot or not!

And here is how it photographed!! I love seeing lingerie pieces come alive in the boudoir studio!

If you’d like to see this set in person (and you’re in the Atlanta area) then you can find it at AnnaBella fine lingerie and at Jenette Bras (two locations).

Let's chat about Boudoir posing!

You are fully responsible for making sure your poses for your boudoir session are perfect, so you better start practicing!

-KIDDING-

“Will you help me know how to pose?” is probably the #1 question we get from clients. I’m here to tell you that we will absolutely help you pose and guide you the entire way throughout your session.

For me, posing ideas come very naturally and I don’t necessarily need to write down a plan of attack for posing. That being said, I do love to know a general direction or “vibe” that you’d like to go with. Kinky posing isn’t for everyone, and neither is more sweet and innocent posing.

Boudoir photography is meant to be intimate, personal, and often sensual in nature. Here are a few classic boudoir posing vibes that you might consider (and we can even do ALL of them at your shoot if you’d like!):

  1. The classic pin-up pose: This pose involves lying on your back on a bed, with one leg bent and resting on a stack of pillows or a chair.

  2. The "come hither" pose: In this pose, you might sit on the edge of a bed or chair, with one leg crossed over the other and your body turned towards the camera.

  3. The "bedroom eyes" pose: This pose involves lying on your stomach on a bed, with your head turned towards the camera and your arms resting above your head.

  4. The "sultry" pose: This pose involves sitting on a bed or chair with one leg crossed over the other, and your body turned towards the camera. You might also try placing one hand on your hip or behind your head for added glamour.

  5. The "sexy silhouette" pose: This pose involves standing with your back to the camera, with your arms raised above your head and your body turned slightly to the side.

Remember, boudoir photography is all about capturing your OWN personality and style. Don't be afraid to try out different poses and see what works best for you. I’ll always show you images on the back of the camera, so if you’re not feeling something we can pivot in order to make sure you’re 100% in love with your boudoir images.
