Did you know that we'll shop FOR you? | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

We have recently started a new service that is designed to make sure our clients have the BEST wardrobe options for your boudoir session. I’m not sure why it took us so long to come up with this idea, but hey- better late than never? This new service: Virtual Wardrobe appointments!

Shopping for your everyday clothes can be a little but of a headache, so when you throw in lingerie/fishnets/tassels/body-chains/etc… I’m imagining a full-on migraine. This is where I come in and save the day.

Since I’ve been photographing boudoir sessions for 10+ years I know a thing or seven about what type of lingerie looks best in photos. I know which shoes to wear, which stores have the best return policy, and how to judge the sizing on those ever-so-confusing sizing charts. This is knowledge that I keep in my pocket so that you don’t have to figure it all out.

Each client of OWN boudoir now has the opportunity to book a Virtual Wardrobe appointment with us! We’ll have this appointment a few weeks (or more, if you’d like!) before your boudoir session so that you have plenty of time to shop.

The way this Virtual Wardrobe appointment happens is once a client books the appointment a '‘preference’ questionnaire is sent out. In this questionnaire clients are able to tell me about their boudoir wardrobe preferences like: style, budget, sizing, preferred colors, items you DEF do not want to use, etc. I’ll use this information to select a compilation of items that I think you’ll really love and that would look great on you for your boudoir session! When we meet together (virtually) I’ll share the items that I picked out for you and explain why I think that they’d work really well. Don’t worry, you don’t have to turn your camera on during these meetings… but I’ll have mine on so that you can see the person that will be photographing you!

Here’s a screenshot of what it will look like during our meeting!

At the end of our meeting I’ll send over a list of the items that are marked as ‘favorites’ so that the shopping can begin! We partner with a few local lingerie stores here in Atlanta, too, and I’ll always try to find pieces from those stores so that you can take advantage of their discount codes for OWN boudoir clients!

These Virtual Wardrobe appointments are taking out a HUGE anxiety factor with your boudoir session. You won’t ever have to worry whether or not your wardrobe is going to look great on camera or if you have the ‘right’ stuff for your boudoir session.

I’m really loving the appointments we’ve had so far, and they are just one more way for us to set you up for having the absolute best boudoir session ever (with photos to prove it).

Inspired by sculpture | Atlanta Boudoir Photography

Inspiration for shooting boudoir sessions can come from anywhere, but more often than not our inspiration will come from other art forms. Sculpture has LONG been a way to show appreciation and respect to the female form, so when I discovered sculptor Benjamin Victor I went down a 45min rabbit hole of swoon.

I knew immediately that I had to try to recreate an almost ‘sculpture’ like shoot, and I’ve been wanting to experiment with water and fabric for a while (which was exactly how I planned on recreating a sculpture).

Big shout-out to my clients that entertain my idea to spray them down with water while they wear a cheesecloth sash :) They’re the real MVPs.
