Special Edition Boudoir Sessions: Wet & Wild

April was definitely full of showers this spring, but they (mostly) didn't take place outside.

Our studio was Wet & Wild and very messy during our April Special Edition Boudoir Sessions. If you're new to OWN boudoir each year we have four themed weekends where we pull out all of the stops for creative photoshoots that we wouldn't otherwise get to do during our standard boudoir sessions.

These Special Edition sessions allow clients to play dress-up and have a blast during a low-stakes creative weekend. Most of the participants are past clients since the sessions are released to past clients first, and it's so much fun to get to work with people repeatedly. The trust is unmatched and they are always down for whatever strange idea I want to try out.

We set up a faux shower in our studio thanks to Home Depot plywood delivery and some peel-n-stick tiles from Amazon. Add a bucket of water, a sponge, and a makeup artist turned assistant and we had QUITE the set-up.

It's amazing what lighting and composition can do to create a wild set of images, especially when you take in the fact that our boudoir studio is mostly couches and beds. There was a LOT of laughter as we basically gave sponge baths to our clients, but this is far from the messiest boudoir session we've had. We covered clients in paint a few years ago!!

Here are a few of my favorite images from our Wet & Wild boudoir sessions.

Our next weekend of Special Edition Boudoir sessions will take place at our Atlanta studio the weekend of October 16-18, 2026. The theme is "Rhinestone Dreams" so put on your best showgirl, first wive's club, or sparkle fantasy outfits and let's have a blast.
