Beginning in October 2025 we embarked on what was called the 'Milestone Sessions' project. This project was originally created to celebrate OUR milestone of having been a full-time boudoir studio for 10 years.

Here is more information about where OWN Boudoir started and where we are now!

Clients from the past 10+ years were invited to come in to our new Atlanta studio for a photoshoot to celebrate the various milestones that they had experienced over the last 10 years.

Each photoshoot was so personal and celebratory, regardless of any amount of sorrow or pain that had lead to the accomplishments and milestones we were celebrating.

At the end of the project I invited each participant to write a 'blurb' (a very serious term, I know) about their milestone and what this project represented for them. We held a gallery viewing where everyone was invited to mingle, view, and reflect on everyone's photos and life accomplishments. There were SO many wonderful 'me, too!!!' moments and cheers and hugs amongst strangers.

This post kicks off the beginning of me sharing each Milestone Session participant's story! I will be sharing them in order of when they occurred!

Amber's milestone blurb, in her own words:

"Girl.  I don’t even have words to express all my feels for these.    I had a vision, and you took that and made it so much more than I could have hoped for."

I became a caretaker to my mother who is [experiencing] rapid cognitive decline. I am trying to [lead] by example as I continue to raise [my two daughters] as a single mom, and I just turned 50! This life has thrown so many things at me, but I will remain strong, beautiful, and tall."
