Introducing Milestone Sessions: A Celebration of 10 Years of OWN Boudoir

This year marks something deeply special for my business: 10 years of OWN Boudoir being a full-time boudoir studio.
Ten years ago was my first year that I was able to sustain my photography business by focusing solely on boudoir; not taking other commissions for work. Before 2015 I was shooting a mixture of genres: portraits, weddings, engagement sessions, etc. My other work started to suffer and I knew that I wanted to ONLY focus on the boudoir genre, but it was terrifying to take that leap.
Now, 10 years later, I am so proud of myself that I chose to see what would happen. That leap has taken me from photographing clients all over the world (I'm writing this on a plane leaving from Greece with people who wanted to travel with me for one-of-a-kind photos) to documenting scars in our 2018 SCARS Project, a project created to help people heal and show their stories proudly.
Through every project, the thread has always been the same: pride. Pride in our OWN journeys, in what we’ve overcome, and in our OWN milestones that shape us. I am proud of the business I’ve built.

So, What Are Milestone Sessions?
Milestone Sessions are about celebrating the moments and achievements that define your past 10 year, big or small. Maybe it’s a new job, a family milestone, a shift in relationships, a health journey, or even newfound confidence. Maybe you learned how to cook or learned a new skill? These sessions are a reflection of you and an opportunity to showcase what makes you proud.
Each photoshoot includes 2 outfits: one “sexy” boudoir look and one headshot/portrait look.
Sessions are only available to past OWN clients and the cost of the session is only to cover the hair and makeup cost.
At the end of the project we’ll host a special Exhibit + Event where each participant will display one image alongside a quote about what they’re proud of over the last 10 years.
Yes you’ll show your face (this is about your story!), but the photo does NOT need to be one of the more intimate, boudoir images. You can choose to show your portrait instead. You'll also get to keep the displayed image!

💄 Hair and Makeup Artist: Included in your session
📍 Location: OWN Boudoir's studio in West Midtown
🥂 Reception/Exhibit date: Sometime in April or May 2026, exact date TBD
